UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon requested the Syrian government to grant full access to the international observers who arrived in Syria Monday. "We are not considering options such as military security for our envoys at present, since we trust that their free movement must be guaranteed by Syrian authorities," stated Ban at a press-conference after meeting European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.
